VISITE AU DOLMEN DE PEPIEUX

On December 4th, Robert Rouanet took a group of members to visit the Dolmen near Pepieux. Robert was born in Argeliers and has a great knowledge of the history and geography of the area. He was able to tell us all about this extraordinary monument that was constructed about 5000 years ago and we were able to experience the energy that manifests itself at this historic site. We then followed a secondary route back to Argeliers passing through parts of the Minervois that were little known to us. This was the first of a series of trips that Robert has agreed to provide to members who wish to understand better this region and its history.

Le 4 décembre, Robert Rouanet a emmené un groupe visiter le dolmen près de Pépieux. Robert est né à Argeliers et connait très bien l’histoire et la géographie de la région. Il a su nous raconter tous les secrets de cet extraordinaire monument construit il y a 5000 ans et chacun a pu ressentir l’énergie qui émane de ce site historique. Nous sommes ensuite rentrées par une petite route à travers des coins du Minervois que nous connaissions peu. Robert a d’ailleurs accepté de guider dans d’autres ballades de ce genre les membres souhaitant mieux connaitre la région et son histoire.

We were hoping to arrange a visit to the Cave Cooperative before Christmas but as they are busy bottling at the moment this visit may have to be postponed until January.

Nous espérions pouvoir visiter la cave coopérative avant Noël, mais à cause de la mise en bouteille, la visite est reportée en Janvier.

APERO DE NOEL

A big thank you to Georgie and Bob Kilgore who hosted our Christmas party. The champagne flowed and a great time was had by all. It was unfortunate that as everybody was enjoying themselves so much, nobody thought to take any photos. This was a great pity as the table looked spectacular, loaded down with specialities from many countries.

Grand merci à Georgie et Bob Kilgore qui nous ont accueillis pour la Fête de Noël. Le champagne a coulé à flot et nous avons vécu un bon moment. Il est dommage que dans la liesse générale personne n’ait pensé à prendre des photos. C’était d’autant plus regrettable car la table était spectaculaire, avec des plats de nombreux pays. Mille mercis à Georgie et Bob.

BANQUE DE COMPETENCES / SKILLS BANK

Georgie et Bob Kilgore ont suggéré que nous ayons une liste des membres qui sont prêts à aider les autres dans un secteur particulier. Ils ont pris l’initiative en proposant : Bob est un expert en informatique et serait ravi d’aider les membres dans n’importe quel domaine  y compris les virus.
La famille Kilgore habite ici toute l’année et accepterait avec plaisir de garder les clefs de la maison des membres ne résidant pas sur place tout le temps.
Si vous avez une compétence quelconque ou un service que vous pouvez offrir aux autres membres, merci de joindre Bob ou Georgie (04 68 48 07 58).

Georgie and Bob Kilgore have suggested that we have a register of members who will be happy to help other members in specific ways. They have started the ball rolling by offering the following: Bob is a computer expert and will be pleased to help members with anything concerning their computers including viruses!
The Kilgores are round the year residents and will happy to hold the house keys of members who do not live here all the time.
If you have a skill or a service that you can offer other members, please contact Bob or Georgie (04 68 48 07 58) who will coordinate the register.
